Finnish Study Shows Cynicism Leads To Dementia

May 29, 2014

Cynics are three times more likely to develop dementia than those who have faith in humanity, a Finnish study has shown.
Believing that others are motivated by selfishness, or that they lie to get what they want, appears to radically increase the risk of cognitive decline in later life. It could mean that grumpy old men and women should be screened more closely for diseases such as Alzheimer’s. Cynicism has previously been linked to health problems such as heart disease, but this is the first time it has been associated with dementia.  While another study has shown ignorance is bliss.

Ask The Eye Don’t Be A Dwight

July 22, 2013

Dear Eye View
A few days ago I caught my Muslim co-worker sneaking some bites of an orange. Our company and our client are very accepting of the fact that it is Ramadan and have made accommodations to help him out. I don’t know how the client will react if they ever found out that he’s not sticking with the Ramadan fast. Since this client represents our largest billings, we can’t afford to lose them. Should I mention it to my company or ignore it? On top of this, some co-workers are resentful that he gets to take it easy for a month.

—Don’t Want to Get Anyone Fired

I understand your concern.Forget the eating or noneating habits of this co-worker and focus your enforcement concerns on something more crucial, like who is using too much company toilet paper. Just remember, what would Dwight say..”Security in this office is a joke. Last year I came to my office with my spud-gun in a duffel bag. I sat at my desk all day with a rifle that shoots potatoes at 60 pounds per square inch. Can you imagine if I was deranged?” Dont be a Dwight.

President Obama Wants To Fend Off Massive Lay-offs Of Teachers,Police, and Firefighters,Oh My

June 14, 2010

On Saturday night, President Obama sent a letter to congressional leaders of both parties asking for nearly $50 billion in emergency aid to state and local governments to fend off “massive layoffs of teachers, police and firefighters” and to prevent a possible double-dip recession.

How come we never hear about potential  massive layoffs of  worthless state, city, and county bureaucratic middle management.
