Phil Mickelson has hinted at a move away from California, perhaps the United States, and maybe even away from golf as he seeks to escape punitive taxes. Phil Mickelson says that because of recent changes, he would pay a 62 percent rate on his taxes.”If you add up all the federal and you look at the disability and the unemployment and the Social Security and the state, my tax rate’s 62, 63 percent,” Mickelson said. “So I’ve got to make some decisions on what I’m going to do.”

Obama Votes Present Again On Extending Current Tax Rates

In urging lawmakers to vote for his tax deal, President Obama is using one of his go-to lines from the healthcare debate, according to a Democratic lawmaker.

Obama is telling members of Congress that failure to pass the tax-cut legislation could result in the end of his presidency, Rep. Peter DeFazio (Ore.) said.

“The White House is putting on tremendous pressure, making phone calls, the president is making phone calls saying this is the end of his presidency if he doesn’t get this bad deal,” he told CNN’s Eliot Spitzer. 

Obama tells Congress if the bill he created and supports.  but hates, is not passed, it could be the end of his presidency. O is voting “present” again.
