Sebelius Ready to Reeducate Us, Health Care Reeducation Camps Might Be Nice

August 31, 2010

With a number of polls showing a sustained level of opposition to the Democrats’ health care reform efforts more than five months after passage, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said the Obama administration has “a lot of reeducation to do” heading into the midterms.

While some surveys – namely the Kaiser Family Foundation monthly tracking poll  – have suggested an uptick in support for the reforms, most other surveys continue to show a steady level of opposition to the new law that remains higher than the favorable opinions of it.

“Unfortunately, there still is a great deal of confusion about what is in [the reform law] and what isn’t,” Sebelius told ABC News Radio in an interview Monday.

With several vulnerable House Democrats touting their votes against the bill, and Republicans running on repeal, Sebelius said “misinformation given on a 24/7 basis” has led to the enduring opposition nearly six months after the lengthy debate ended in Congress.

“So, we have a lot of reeducation to do,” Sebelius said.

Confusion in Obamacare bill is because  no one has read it or can explain it…..Sebelius working hard to get American taxpayers mind right.

Kathleen Sebelius Worlds Smartest Lady

April 9, 2010

Now that  the health-care package  was passed by the Senate Finance Committee, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius will determine the meaning of common medical and health insurance terms such as “hospitalization,” “physician services,” “premium,” “prescription drug coverage,” “deductible,” and “emergency room care.”

The provision giving the HHS secretary this power appears on pages 256 and 257 of the Finance Committee’s gargantuan health-care reform bill, which totals just over 1,500 pages. “The Secretary of Health and Human Services,” says the bill, “shall, by regulations, provide for the development of standards for the definitions of terms used in health insurance coverage.”Thank God Sebelius is the Worlds Smartest Lady… Someone is going to have to be the boss of all doctors in the US. Maybe she can play a doctor in tv.

Sebelius: FDA Will Require Health Labels on Front of Food Packages

April 9, 2010

CNSNews.com) — Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) Kathleen Sebelius said today that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is developing a new regulation  that would require food manufacturers to display nutritional information on the front of packages.

This would mean that the front of a Wheaties box, for example, would display not only the smiling face of a famous athlete but also declare how many calories from fat are in each serving.

“There are huge cost implications, for changing your packaging is very costly,” he said. “Many of our companies are smaller, medium-sized companies that would find it very burdensome to have to change all of their packaging.”

“Busy shoppers will be able to go into grocery stores and have some easy to understand information on the front of packages giving them quick data on what is a healthier choice,” said Sebelius at the U.S. Capitol.

Wish busy Americans would have had time to read the front of the Health Care Bill… That packaging was very costly….
