June 15, 2010

In Episode two, of Adventures of Sunderland ,16-year old Abby Sunderland will brave the most dangerous road in the world. Built by Paraguayan prisoners of war in the 1930s, the North Yungas Road, which locals call the “Road of Death,” snakes across roughly 40 miles of the Andes in northeastern Bolivia. In 1995, the Inter-American Development Bank named the La Paz to Coroico route “the world’s most dangerous road.” And for good reason. The unpaved road is bordered by 3,000-foot cliffs. More than 100 travelers die every year trekking the route’s hairpin curves. Lets follow Abby’s  adventures attempting to  steer clear of danger with a drivers license of 6 months..
