A proposed law introduced in the California State legislature would allow public school children to use bathrooms designated for members of the opposite sex, if that students’ “gender identity” differed from the students biological sex.
Assembly Bill 1266, introduced by Democratic Assemblyman Tom Ammiano, who represents a section of the city of San Francisco would:”…require that a pupil be permitted to participate in sex-segregated school programs and activities, including athletic teams and competitions, and use facilities consistent with his or her gender identity, irrespective of the gender listed on the pupil’s record.”
