Joe Biden Makes Most Audacious Comment Of The Last 500 Years

March 20, 2012

Vice President Joe Biden said Monday that the raid that killed Osama bin Laden was the most “audacious plan” of the past 500 years. Biden’s comments, made at a Democratic fundraiser in Morris Township, NJ, ranked the May 2011 assault that ended the Al-Qaeda chief’s life above the D-Day invasion of Normandy in 1944, the surprise landing at Inchon in 1950 that turned the tide of the Korean War or, going back a bit further, George Washington’s daring night-time crossing of the Delaware River before the Battle of Trenton in 1776.

“You can go back 500 years. You cannot find a more audacious plan. Never knowing for certain. We never had more than a 48% probability that he was there,” Biden said, hailing the raid as a shining example of President Barack Obama’s leadership.”Do any one of you have a doubt that if that raid failed that this guy would be a one-term president?” Biden asked, according to the media pool report from the event. “This guy is willing to do the right thing and risk losing.”

The Real Housewives of Osama bin Laden, Episode 1 Suicide In Pakistan Is Redundant

March 8, 2012

Osama bin Laden spent his last weeks in a house divided, amid wives riven by suspicions. On the top floor, sharing his bedroom, was his youngest wife and favorite. The trouble came when his eldest wife showed up and moved into the bedroom on the floor below.

Others in the family, crammed into the three-story villa compound where bin Laden would eventually be killed in a May 2 U.S. raid, were convinced that the eldest wife intended to betray the al-Qaida leader.

The compound where bin Laden lived since mid-2005 was a crowded place, with 28 residents — including bin Laden, his three wives, eight of his children and five of his grandchildren. The bin Laden children ranged in age from his 24-year-old son Khaled, who was killed in the raid, to a 3-year-old born during their time in Abbottabad. Bin Laden’s courier, the courier’s brother and their wives and children also lived in the compound.

Navy Seals Get Bin Laden’s Hard Drive Secrets Revealed

May 3, 2011
The assault force of Navy SEALs snatched a trove of computer drives and disks during their weekend raid on Osama bin Laden’s compound, yielding what a U.S. official called “the mother lode of intelligence.”

The special operations forces grabbed personal computers, thumb drives and electronic equipment during the lightning raid that killed bin Laden, officials told POLITICO.

“They cleaned it out,” one official said. “Can you imagine what’s on Osama bin Laden’s hard drive?”

U.S. officials are about to find out. The material is being examined at a secret location in Afghanistan.

Osama bin Laden Killed, There Is An App For That

May 2, 2011

Last Wednesday, two data scientists reported on a finding that devices running iOS 4 or later contained a hidden file that contains location data going back to nearly a year in some cases. This data on the file consolidated.db includes longitude and latitude coordinates along with timestamps.

This find naturally started a wave of outrage and concern among individuals worried about privacy. People are scared that information like this could easily fall into the wrong hands and the implications of being able to easily graph one’s every move are indeed sinister.

In another act of the drama, today the Wall Street Journal is reporting that turning off location services in your settings doesn’t stop the logging of data. They conducted their own test and found that disabling the location services setting does not prevent the collection of data about your whereabouts even though many suggested this action last week to folks concerned about their privacy.
