Oklahoma Cancer Survivor’s Obamacare Plan Doesn’t Cover A Single Doctor In 400 Miles Radius Not Such A Beautiful Morning

May 31, 2014

A cancer survivor that signed up for health insurance on Oklahoma’s federally-run Obamacare exchange was told there isn’t a single doctor that accepts the plan within 400 miles of her, according to KTEN-TX. Janet Grigg, who has survived colon cancer, attempted to use her newly-purchased Blue Cross Blue Care insurance plan at her regular cancer screening, but was turned down.
“When I got there they said to me that the [insurance] card would not be accepted, and that they had in fact received a memo,” Grigg told KTEN-TX. She was left to pay for the visit out of pocket, as well as any future visits to the practice. “I would not find a doctor within a 400-mile radius from Dallas up to Oklahoma City that would, in fact, take the plan that I had chosen, that I thought would be accepted in my county, because I did select my county as my residence,” Grigg said. Not such a beautiful morning.

VA Bureaucratic Problems Trailer For Obamacare Coming Attractions

May 21, 2014

President Barack Obama was expected to address the troubling allegations of treatment delays and preventable deaths at VA hospitals in a statement from the White House following his meeting with Shinseki. Rep. Jeff Miller, R-Fla., chairman of the House Veterans Affairs Committee, sponsored the measure, saying VA officials who have presided over mismanagement or negligence are more likely to receive bonuses or glowing performance reviews than any sort of punishment. The VA’s “widespread and systemic lack of accountability is exacerbating all of its most pressing problems,” including revelations that the department maintained secret waiting lists to cover up long delays in patient appointments and a mounting toll of preventable deaths of veterans, Miller said. Invincible Snake Handler Pastor Dies Refusing Health Care Tried To Keep His Old Plan

February 17, 2014

A snake-handling pastor who appeared on the National Geographic television reality show Snake Salvation has died after being bitten by a snake during a weekend church service in Kentucky. Jamie Coots was handling a rattlesnake at his Full Gospel Tabernacle in Jesus Name Church in Middlesboro when he was bitten on the hand Saturday night, another preacher, Cody Winn, told WBIR-TV. After the bite, Coots dropped the snakes, but then picked them back up and continued on. Within minutes, Winn said Coots headed to the bathroom.
When an ambulance arrived at the church at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, they were told Coots had gone home, the Middlesboro Police Department said in a statement. .”We literally believe they want us to take up snakes,” Coots told The Associated Press at the time. “We’ve been serpent handling for the past 20 or 21 years.”Contacted at his house, Coots refused medical treatment. Health Care For The Holidays Ho Ho Nope

December 15, 2013

For the second week in a row, the Washington Healthplanfinder website is down, and it’s causing problems for people who are dealing with billing issues. Some of them say the website is mistakenly debiting their accounts. Shannon Bruner of Indianola logged on to her checking account Monday morning, and found she was almost 800 dollars in the negative. “The first thing I thought was, ‘I got screwed,’” she said. The Bruners enrolled for insurance on the Washington Healthplanfinder website, last October. They say they selected the bill pay date to be December 24th. Instead the Washington Healthplanfinder drafted the 835 dollar premium Monday.“We’ve got to figure out how to get money to pay the bills for the next week or two until we have another check come through,” said Josh Bruner. “It’s just crazy.” “We haven’t bought anyone’s Christmas gifts yet,” said Shannon Bruner. “We’re just kind of waiting.” “We wrote a check to our nanny last week, it isn’t going to work,” said Josh Bruner. “So she can’t get paid.”

Oregon State Wins! Has Blow Out Score 300,000,000 to 44.

December 11, 2013

Oregon, once touted as a model for President Obama’s health care law, signed up just 44 people for insurance through November, despite spending more than $300 million on its state-based exchange.

The state’s exchange had the fewest sign-ups in the nation, according to a new report today by the Department of Health and Human Services.

State of Oregon wins by a landslide.

Obamacare Website Blazing Saddles 2.0 Recreates Unsecured Fake Rock Ridge

December 3, 2013

It could take a year to secure the risk of “high exposures” of personal information on the federal Obamacare online exchange, a cybersecurity expert told CNBC on Monday. “When you develop a website, you develop it with security in mind. And it doesn’t appear to have happened this time,” said David Kennedy, a so-called “white hat” hacker who tests online security by breaching websites. He testified on Capitol Hill about the flaws of HealthCare.gov last week.”It’s really hard to go back and fix the security around it because security wasn’t built into it,” said Kennedy, chief executive of TrustedSec. “We’re talking multiple months to over a year to at least address some of the critical-to-high exposures on the website itself.”

Obamacare creates unsecured architecture. Blazing Saddles 2.0.

Obamacare Going To The Dogs Period

November 21, 2013

Hey, at least dogs aren’t having a problem getting on Obamacare.

Shane Smith of Fort Collins, Colo., recently found a little surprise when he signed up for coverage under the Affordable Care Act. After proceeding through all the registration hurdles with Connect for Health Colorado, he learned that his dog Baxter had gotten insured, not Smith himself.

If you like your veterinarian, you will be able to keep your veterinarian. Period. If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. Period. No one will take it away. No matter what. Obamacare going to the dogs.

Colorado Dog Opens Obamacare Insurance Account, Brilliant

November 20, 2013

FORT COLLINS, Colo. — The Colorado healthcare exchange has processed applications for thousands of people … and one dog. Shane Smith, of Fort Collins, says his dog Baxter received a letter informing him that a health insurance account had been opened in his name through Connect for Health Colorado. “I thought, ‘Wow, this is so awesome,’” Smith said with a laugh. “They have gone out of their way to insure my 14-year-old dog.” Smith had called Connect for Health Colorado to sign himself up for insurance because his old plan was cancelled due to Obamacare. He’s not sure exactly how the confirmation letter went to his dog, but he says he thinks it’s because of a series of security questions a representative asked him over the phone.

Payment Tool For Obamacare Website Not Built! Feds Consider Outscource To HMNIP IT Solution

November 20, 2013

Another day, another big, bad black eye for HealthCare.gov. A crucial system for making payments to insurers from people who enroll in that federal Obamacare marketplace has yet to be built, a senior government IT official admitted Tuesday. The official, Henry Chao, visibly stunned Rep. Cory Gardner (R-Colo.) when he said under questioning before a House subcommittee that a significant fraction of HealthCare.gov—30 to 40 percent of it—has yet to be constructed.”We still need to build the payments system to make the payments [to insurance companies] in January,” testified Chao, deputy chief information officer of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the federal agency that operates HealthCare.gov. That so-called financial management tool was originally supposed to be part of HealthCare.gov when it launched Oct. 1, but officials later suspended its launch as part of their effort to get the consumer interface part of the site ready.

Feds now consider outscourcing to  Hello My Name is Peggy it payment system.

Adriana The Past Face Of Obamacare Not Exactly A Model Citizen

November 13, 2013

The smiling woman who was once the face of the Affordable Care Act’s website has come out of the shadows to stand up to the “cyberbullying” she says she suffered after the law’s flawed kickoff. Speaking exclusively to ABC News, Adriana, who asked that only her first name be used, said she was speaking out now to defend herself after weeks of enduring online lampooning.”I mean, I don’t know why people should hate me because it’s just a photo. I didn’t design the website. I didn’t make it fail, so I don’t think they should have any reasons to hate me,” Adriana told ABC News. Speculation swirled that Adriana might not be a legal resident of the United States, and therefore not even eligible for the health care exchanges. Adriana said she is a wife and mother who lives in Maryland with her 21-month-old son and husband of six and a half years. Her husband is a U.S. citizen, as is his her son. Adriana, who is Colombian, said she has lived legally in the U.S. for more than six years, is currently a permanent resident and is applying for citizenship. Adriana not exactly a model citizen.
