Chelsea Clinton Spends $10.5M For Manhattan Condo Includes Astroturf Father-In-Law Guest Suite

March 19, 2013

The daughter of the former president and the former Secretary of State has some fancy new digs in New York City, according to an MSN real estate blog…

The 4,967-square-foot condo unit has four bedrooms and six baths, plus a half bath, laundry room and media room. The enormous master suite has two baths and two dressing rooms, and the living area is open to the kitchen. Chelsea Clinton and her husband Marc Mezvinsky paid $10.5 million for the top floor of The Whitman, a new four-story development adjacent to Madison Square Park in the Flatiron district of Manhattan. There are only four units in the building, but it has a doorman and gym anyway. After paying $10.5 million for the unit, the couple will still be paying $12,000 a month: $4,342 in condo fees and $7,913 in real estate taxes.

The fancy new digs will include a low maintenance astro turf father- in- law guest suite for Bill Clinton and Mezinskys father on his release from prison.

Eye View Spark Notes,Ten Annoying Things About Marc Mezvinsky,Where’s the Money?

August 1, 2010

Ten annoying things about 32- year old Marc Mezvinsky…

1. He bought a $3.8 million, three-bedroom, 2,000 square-feet condo in New York City in 2008 and a $1m wedding ring for Chelsea…  So he’s not poor!

2. His parents, Edward Mezvinsky and Marjorie Margolies are divorced, and both of them are former members of the U.S. House of Representatives. His father was an Iowa congressman from 1973 to 1977; his mother a Pennsylvania rep from 1993 to 1995.

3. His father is a convicted felon, guilty of bank fraud, mail fraud and wire fraud, for which he served five years in prison and was released in 2008. His father duped friends, friends of friends, associates — and even his mother-in-law — in business-related ponzi scams.

4. His mother was once a well-known television reporter and is now a professor at the University of Pennsylvania.

5. He has 10 siblings — some half-siblings and some adopted siblings — unlike Chelsea, who is an only child.

6. He is a former investment banker with Goldman Sachs who now works for the hedge fund 3G Capital.

7. He attended Stanford University with Chelsea, where he focused on religious studies and philosophy while she majored in history. Not exactly a business major..

8. He is Jewish, Chelsea is Methodist.

9. He threw Chelsea a 30th birthday party for 70 friends and family at Russian eatery Mari Vanna, one of their favorite restaurants.  Guests dined on caviar, pierogies and vodka-infused cocktails.

10. He is reported to be book smart like Chelsea and a general all-around “mensch” according to the New York Post.

Mom is a teacher, Dad is a convicted con with lawyer fees out the butt, that ripped off friends and family members via Madoff ponzi scheme that used Marc’s account to hide the money.

Never mind I answered my own question..

Eye View Question of The Day,The Difference Between Politicians Kids and Other Peoples Kids, A Nice Hedge

August 1, 2010

Politicians kids really like  hedges.

In the fall of 2006, Chelsea Clinton left McKinsey and went to work for Avenue Capital Group, a hedge fund run by Marc Lasry, a donor to Democratic causes and supporter of the Clintons.

Marc Mezvinsky is a former Goldman Sachs investment banker. He works at the hedge fund G3 Capital.

Other people’s kids grow up cutting the hedges, while politician kids grow up managing hedge funds..

If Congress does away with derivative investments what will their kids do?

Clinton Wedding.Get Your Score Card Here, The Groom, Collectors Want His Rookie Card

July 31, 2010

THE GROOM: The couple have much in common. Not only is Marc Mezvinsky from a political family — they also come complete with their own scandal.

The son of former Iowa congressman Edward Mezvinsky and former NBC reporter and congresswoman Marjorie Margolies Mezvinsky, 32-year-old Marc was raised in Philadelphia with ten siblings.

Like Chelsea, he has also eschewed politics, although for less altruistic causes, swapping Capitol Hill for Wall Street, where he worked for investment bank Goldman Sachs, then a small hedge fund. It appears to have brought great financial rewards. In February 2008 he bought a Fifth Avenue apartment for around $4million which he now shares with his fiance. The ring he gave Chelsea is valued at more than a million dollars..

Collectors say the  Marc Mezvinsky rookie card is more valuable than the Bernie Madoff rookie card and will explode in value if Marc ends up in jail like his dad Ed.

Ask The Eye, Karma Can Be A Bitch

July 28, 2010

Dear Eye View,
I am 30 and recently moved to be near my parents, who have been married for 40 years. My father has a long history of infidelity, which my mother thinks is over. Almost a decade ago, she found out he was still having an affair with the woman who had worked for him in the 1980s. He had moved her across the country and gotten her an apartment near our house. My mom left my father for a couple of years, but last year they got back together, and they’ve moved to a remote part of the country and started over.

My father confessed to me last week that he was still seeing his longtime girlfriend. He tells my mother he’s taking a business trip or a “guy’s weekend.” He has no intention of telling my mother about her, but plans to see her for the rest of his life. He wants me to keep quiet about it.I don’t want to tell my mother—I really believe she thinks the affair is over. I don’t want to be involved in the details of my parents’ marriage, but my father shared this information with me. Is keeping his affair a secret from my mom deceptive? How do I handle him leading two lives, one of which is hurtful to my mother, whom I love dearly and don’t want to get hurt? Also, I am to be married soon and don’t know what to do..

Dear Confused

You have no control over your parents lives. There is no need to lie to your mother but there is also no need to rat out your dad. I am sure this would never happen in your marriage.. Hopefully Karma skips a generation. Good luck with your  marriage. Remember you  are a different person than your mom and hopefully  won’t pick out a man like dear old  dad… Marriage can be scary. So don’t stress out.. Also, remember… a moment on the lips forever on the hips.. Hope this helps.

Clintons Desperate To Unload Chelsea, $2M Payoff

July 23, 2010

When Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky tie the knot on July 31 they will be surrounded by friends, family and an A-list of celebrities that is likely to include more than one world leader. Hey, Dad’s a former president and Mom’s the current Secretary of State, after all.

Details of the wedding are slowly leaking out — it’s presumed to be in the small upstate New York village of Rhinebeck– and it doesn’t appear to disappoint. While nobody but the Clintons knows the exact price, it’s shaping up to be a costly affair: the total price tag could easily reach $2 million.

Finally a taker…

Chelsea Clinton Wedding, National Migraine In Our Cerebral Heads

July 15, 2010

NEW YORK – Dubbed “The Wedding of the Century,” the Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky nuptials this month are shrouded in secrecy. Lynnley Browning lifts the veil on the mansion, the party, the guests, and the gift bags.

If Chelsea Clinton gets a migraine during the final fitting for her custom Oscar de la Renta wedding gown, she’ll have a stylish new place to rest her cerebral head.

Clinton recently bought two cream, lavender, and taupe sofa pillows at Hammertown, a tony home-furnishings store in Rhinebeck, New York, the quaint village on the Hudson River where she is marrying private-banker boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky this month.

Rhonda Cayea, manager of Hammertown, described the $178 pillows as “understated”—an adjective that doesn’t apply to much in Rhinebeck. Hoping migraine treatment in national health care..
