In Episode two, of Adventures of Sunderland ,16-year old Abby Sunderland will brave the most dangerous road in the world. Built by Paraguayan prisoners of war in the 1930s, the North Yungas Road, which locals call the “Road of Death,” snakes across roughly 40 miles of the Andes in northeastern Bolivia. In 1995, the Inter-American Development Bank named the La Paz to Coroico route “the world’s most dangerous road.” And for good reason. The unpaved road is bordered by 3,000-foot cliffs. More than 100 travelers die every year trekking the route’s hairpin curves. Lets follow Abby’s  adventures attempting to  steer clear of danger with a drivers license of 6 months..

 

Sunderlands Have Reality Show,Wants Kids To Get Out There And Do Things

Amid fierce criticism for allowing their 16 year-old daughter Abby’s almost-tragic attempt to sail around the world by herself, the NY Post now reports that Laurence Sunderland had signed a contract for a reality show “about his family of daredevil kids”.

Standing in the driveway outside his home, Sunderland explained the theme he envisioned for the show.”We thought it might be a good idea if it was encouraging to kids to get out there and do things,” he said. Sunderland said he didn’t initially get many bites.But Magnetic Entertainment of Studio City, Calif., is already promoting “Adventures in Sunderland” and “Abby’s Journey,” a documentary, on its Web site.
