Eye View Hollywood BBT Star Mayim Bialik Divorces After 9 Years Beyond the Sling

November 21, 2012

The Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik just announced that she’s divorcing Michael Stone, her husband of nine years.

“After much consideration and soul-searching, Michael and I have arrived at the decision to divorce due to ‘Irreconcilable Differences,'” she just posted on her Jewish parenting blog on kveller.com. “Divorce is terribly sad, painful and incomprehensible for children. It is not something we have decided lightly.”

She made it clear that their alternative style of parenting called “attachment parenting,” which she wrote about in her book Beyond the Sling, in which she revealed that she still breastfeeds Fred, who is nearly 4, and said she and her husband sleep on the floor in a family bed with the two boys. did not cause the split.

Bialik did not mention  the 10- year marriage California divorce laws.. Which creates a much bigger divorce bang.  Beyond the sling.

November 21, 2012

Superstar Madonna may be on a world tour, but that doesn’t mean she can’t conduct a little business on the side.

She’s just listed her Central Park West duplex for $23.5 million, our friends at Curbed report. Maybe the paperwork delayed her concert Monday night in Miami? Fans certainly weren’t happy that Madonna was hours late, but your faithful Yahoo! Homes correspondent can attest to how long it can take to sign aaaaaaall. Of. Those. Papersssszzzzz. Uh? Oh, sorry, fell into a bored snooze for a second. Anyway, we’re inclined to cut her some slack (even if superstars don’t really sign their own papers).

November 21, 2012

Just when you thought it was impossible for surveillance to get any creepier, a company has announced it has created mannequins with cameras installed inside that can be used to spy on shoppers and record their conversations – and that they’ve already been rolled out at numerous fashion stores across the world. The EyeSee mannequin, developed by Italian firm Almax, relies on technology used to identify criminals in airports that utilizes facial recognition software to identify the race, age and gender of the shopper and feeds that information back to a centralized database. The camera is embedded in the eye of the mannequin. Sources say shoppers will have no idea which mannequin has the imbedded camera.

Atheists Steal The Vote Tell Traditional Nativity Story Lovers And Jews To Cram It

November 20, 2012

The city of Santa Monica can bar seasonal displays, including a Nativity scene that has appeared in Palisades Park for nearly 60 years, a federal judge ruled Monday.

In a closely watched case that has attracted national attention, Judge Audrey B. Collins denied a request from the Santa Monica Nativity Scenes Committee to erect multiple large displays depicting the story of the birth of Jesus in the park overlooking the ocean. The coalition of churches has erected the displays every December since the 1950s.

But last year, after requests for display spots exceeded the space allotted, the city held a lottery to allocate spaces. Atheists won 18 of 21 spots. A Jewish group won another. The traditional Nativity story that used to take up 14 displays was crammed into two.

November 16, 2012

A group of Wal-Mart workers are planning to stage a walkout next week on Black Friday, arguably the biggest holiday shopping day for the world’s largest retail store.

A Wal-Mart spokeswoman said the number of workers who are raising concerns is very small and don’t represent the views of the vast majority of its workforce of 1.3 million.

But labor experts say that even a small number of workers could make an impact.”Even if there aren’t that many people, it could have an effect, because their campaign in front of stores could discourage shoppers,” said Ken Margolies, senior associate at the Worker Institute a Cornell University.
