James Cameron:BP Engineers Not Morons,I Got Confused

Hollywood king James Cameron, who knows a thing or two about the ocean depths, is backtracking since calling the engineers trying to clean up BP‘s oil spill “morons.”

“Over the last few weeks I’ve watched as we all have with growing sort of horror and heartache watching what’s happening in the Gulf and thinking, those morons don’t know what they’re doing.  But in an interview with Larry King, Cameron,  said he was wrong.

Then  I talked to petroleum engineers and we started this study group … They’re not morons,” Cameron said.

He  said he was quoted out of context when he called the BP execs “morons” for turning down his help

Cameron stated that during the early 70’s I attended classes at Fullerton College and California State University, Fullerton, and  visited the film archive of the University of Southern California. Although I had  taken classes in the  natural sciences, I chose a philosophy major from Fullerton College in 1973.  I’d go down to the USC library and pull any thesis that graduate students had written related to film technology…if they’d let me photocopy it, I would. If not, I’d make notes.”

After dropping out, I worked several jobs such as truck driving and wrote when I had time. After seeing the original Star Wars film in 1977, I quit my job as a truck driver to enter the film industry.

I am not a college graduate but play one in the movies..

“I guess those BP Engineers  were smarter than I thought.. When they talked abot the Ideal Gas Law ( pV = nRT\,)   I got confused and  could only  think in 2D”….
